Check out this recent footage of one of our crews at Moore Park using an air-vac. The air-vac was a requirement of the Moore Park Trust for non-destructive digging to trench through soil due to excessive services and tree roots, and to ensure heritage artifacts in the area were not damaged or disturbed.

How to Select Quality Contractors for Your Project

September 24, 2019 5:20 pm by Telco Build

When it comes to contracting work, having a reliable and dependable contractor for your project is critical to keeping it on track. However, there are literally thousands of contractors to choose from, and it can be difficult to narrow your scope. There are several things you want to make sure your contractor does, and we’ve outlined them for you below.

Four Traits to Look for in Your Project Contractor

Since no two contractors are the same, making sure the contractor you choose ticks all of your boxes is essential. At the very least, your project contractor should have:

1. Experience

A good contractor is someone with experience in the telecommunications industry. They should know how to schedule their workers, perform quality checks and keep everyone on track. This is what the contractors you get from Telco Build.

2. Licensed and Insured

No matter the scope of the project, your contractor should have a license and be insured in the event of an accident or problem. These two things can make world of difference when legal questions come about, and you could face large issues without them. The license ensures they’ve gone through training to understand the scope of your project, and the insurance gives you peace of mind.

September 4, 2019 5:30 pm by Telco Build

Think of everything that relies on telecommunications today. They’re vital for keeping your business up and running, and they’re ingrained into everyday life. A telecommunications project can be a large undertaking and finding vendors or suppliers can be tricky. This is why you have to do your research, and we’re going to give you several quality places to start your search below.

B2B Marketplaces

B2B marketplaces are essential to helping businesses find quality suppliers or vendors. You’ll have other businesses who have been or are in the same position as you, and they’re usually willing to share their experiences. At the very least, you’ll find out some suppliers or vendors to avoid that could set your telecommunications projects back.

Forums

Business forums or networks like LinkedIn are excellent resources for finding reliable and dependable vendors. You can visit multiple business profiles and see the scope of their work, check out the community and see what they have to say, and chat with other businesses or people in the forums. You’ll be able to use the information you get to sift out the vendors or suppliers who are not a good fit for your company and find out more about ones you can consider.
